wow , wow i really can't say if obama is the anti- . to me all governments are the same.

"being rasta is to free from the system, free from government." Yes, but only free in a certain sense. When you say system, I hear "the powers-that-be"; i.e. the men (people) of wealth and power that make the big decisions for our world and their particular countries, e.g. President Bush's decision to invade Iraq without endorsement from the United Nations Security Council. These would include presumably the heads of mega multinational corporations, who contribute substantially to political campaigns, enjoy the attentive ears of politicians, and have their corporate interests made into policy by these politicians, who themselves cycle from being CEOs of corporations or otherwise highly placed business figures into positions of power; e.g. Dick Cheney having to resign his CEO-ship of Halliburton to become Vice-President of the U.S. The fact of the matter, to cut to the chase, is that these people, these people of power and wealth, and their decisions affects everybody's life. You might be spiritually free from the system, but as long as you have a body and a life in time on this planet, your life is not free of their influence, of their iniquities, and their injustice. Let's just assume, then, that the Hurricane Katrina devastation of New Orleans was a result of Global Warming, and as well the cataclysmic Tsunami disasters of the South Asian seas in the same year. If Global Warming is a consequence of the behavior of corporations, and the consumers of their products, then we can see quite clearly how important to the physical happiness of people on this planet are the decisions, actions, products, and allegiances of people of power and wealth. Furthermore, the inadequate response of the Federal Government of the U.S. to the Katrina disaster, and the impact that this non-action had on the victims of that disaster which I n I witnessed in the first three days of the tragedy via television imagery further hits home the relative condition of slavery our lives have to those with more in this world, more power, and more money. Look at Bob Marley and the Wailers. Were these Rastas free of the system? No, when they were first developing as a band, as has been well documented, they had to struggle not to be cheated out of money by corrupt music producers. And when Bob became an international superstar, I'll bet he didn't burn his paychecks because he was free of the system, and free from government (though he did do some free concerts I hear and that's great!). All of my discussion so far is to warn against what I would call "spiritual aloofness": that is, if one has discovered some important truths about peace and tranquility of mind apart from the evils of society including politics and money concerns, one might be tempted, then, to adopt an attitude of indifference, and noninvolvement in movements for positive political change. But this would be to be condemned to a fate of political irrelevance, and certainly this isn't Rasta or in keeping with the foundations of Rastafari. Haile Selassie I was the emperor of Ethiopia after all; would his goverment be one of those that are the same as all governments? Take a look at Bob Marley and the Wailers' music: Could we say that songs such as "Them Belly Full (but we hungry)", "Burnin' and Lootin'", and "Get Up, Stand Up" are politically irrelevant? The answer is clear. We should be free of the corruption, both mental and physical, that we witness in the daily lives of politicians and the rich fat-cats of the world, but we should seek and act to help these people, and the world through agitating for political reform. This is part of the reason why I support Barack Obama's political change platform.

If that is true, Joanne Keilah, then why did Jah create an outer world? Was he bored, and therefore, thought that he would something extra than what matters alone? Surely the outer world then is a testing ground for the work that is done within. Perhaps you already agree with this, and was just shy about stating it? Such a conclusion would lead us to political involvement: Like Marley uniting Michael Manley and Edward Seaga at the One Love Peace Concert. Rastafari!

This reasoning raises some interesting questions and i would say some very interesting answers, that can be seen upon closer inspection.
The term "anti-christ" had been attributed to many ones over the western history, and typically has been used as a title to basically demonize indiviuals, or who are deemded downpressors.
What most ones gnerally know about the concept of the anti-christ has been drawn from scriptures and prophecies from nostramamus to edgar cayce, urban legends and contemporary popculture etc...
So with this as the source of primary reference material, let us look at some of the so-called characteristics and then compare them with Barak obama. (please note that there are probably thousands of characteristic, ill just name a few)
1) It is written in Revelation that the name of the beast is 666
2) Deny Christ - 1st John
3) Man of Sin - 2nd Thes
4) Abomination of Desolation - Dan
5) Charasmatic world leader with sudden rise - nostradamus
6) Gifted with the power of speech
7) Islamic leader
8) Able to create miracles
9) Come as the champion of peace
10) Born of a jackel
There are more i could use, but for the sake of reasoning i will just name these few.
Do any of these match up with Obama?
Surprisingly this is not the first time i have heard of these ideas, from son of the widow, alien shape shifter, genectic clone and antichrist etc. all of which is debatable.
I will reason more on the next post, for now....

Obama is already PROGRAM / FINE TUNE like any other American President , he will not have much freedom of his own to do much , Obama have to take orders from other ruling body within the usa goverment plus those elite and secret masters behind the American Government .

And yes Rasta`s was political from start/getgo and this is true , The movement was started out of the Pan-African movement/Ethiopianism/Black Revolutionist/Garveyites movement .

Most of these people who start the Rastafarian Movement was Black Revolutionist with Christian Background and church members who start to think Africa in a Political way ,

Leonard Howell who is the first and Father of Rastafarian movement and teachings , was viewed by the British Monarchy as trouble and problem for them becoz Leonard Howell Preach and told the Rasta`s and people of Jamaica not to Acknowledge the British but Ethiopia and Haile Selassie I who was name Ras Tafari at that time , He was arrested for Conspiracy against the British and later in him life was legally viewed and pronounce a madman .

The Rastafarian movement , weather or where ever we slice and dice it , WILL ALWAYS BE A POLITICAL BLACK LIBERATION MOVEMENT AND NOT JUST CHURCH and RELIGION .

I agree sis. Alot of people are condeming a man they know nothing about. Like Sis Akita said this brother is just trying to get in where he fits in and I aint mad at him for that. I RASpect him for that, his strength and courage. Just becuase he's a Black man that people listen to and respect this makes him the "anti-christ" where is this even comming from. MLK had many of the same qualites that the Senator has would the Is say he was the anti-christ. NO!! I see this as a ploy of Evil to but doubt in the minds of the masses. Propaganda that right! Born of a jackle, was he? NO! HE is not a Muslim so he is not an Isalmic leader. And why does what he plans to do for Black people such an improtant thing. If out Livity is about ONE LOVE then what does it matter. What is important is that he stands for ALL people, and will work to help ALL Americans. If his primary concern was black people wouldn't that be reverse racism? With his being biracial that would be him rejecting himself. That's not good either. He stands for a CHANGE and that is something McCain does not want. Maybe if more had been involeved in the past two election we wouldnt have had 8 years of Bush. Its so clear. I Give thanks for that. We need every solider we got for this fight against McCain. Yes I agree this poltical system is full of trick and lies . And that 'baby momma" comment made by Fox News was down right disrespectful, they would call Hillary, Bill's Baby Momma. And you're right the middle name thing just shows ignornace and pre-concieved notions about Africans and Muslims, you're right its all to discredit him. I too have seen so many crazy thing on utube so many that if I took heed to them all I would be in a constant state of fear. Thanks for the LOVE sis-I'm trying to not take some things to serious but you know I got that FIYAH in my blood..it gets hot some times...lol.
