I man just wanna know how black Americans veiw and sight “REPATRIATION” , Most American blacks was against Marcus Garvey Back-to-Africa Movement and plans , they wanted a Mount Zion inna de Indian Land of america / north-south america but Physical and material Zion is AFRICA IN THE EAST AND NOT THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE .
Black Americans have this very proud / pride thing about them , one of this thing is that they feel that blacks was here in the WEST BEFORE THE SLAVE TRADE SO THIS GAVE THEM RIGHTS TO THE AMERICAN CONTINENT and think they dont have to “REPATRIATE” to africa or anywhere and this is very damaging to Rastafarian Believes and veiws on “REPATRIATION” , this is also one of the reason Marcus Garvey did not suceed with his REPATRIATION Movement and plans , what Black people in the America`s think about “REPATRIATION” ??? , do you wanna leave UNCLE TOM SYSTEM / Babylon / Second Egypt or you all still waiting on your slice of the cake and waiting on just a little piece of the BIG APPLE instead of a whole Continent call Mount Zion Africa ???,
The Patriarchs listed above are known to be among the early father of the so-called african american repatriation movement, pls note also that Liberia was founded by African Americans who returnrd home to Africa.
If a one can do some research we will find the truth of the matter.
The Above post is thought provoking, still i am not sure if it is wise to classify and catagorialize an entire people

i went to this link...i think were supposed to hold our head up regardless im weary of stuff like this it seems a litttle bit like a cult where every man eats the same and dresses the same i believe that is not the way it was intended to be...peace and love
One thing we as Blacks must do is to actively assert our nationhood status. whether for any country in Ifrika or America; which we choose to be repatriated to(with respekt to where paticular groups want to go ). Get involved in government locally and abroad. Politically get active in holding elections and requesting citizenship of where One wants to ultimately call home. I wouldn't want to be considered a squattah in Itiopia, Israel, etc.
Let me tell the I that it is indeed more damaging to discriminate against another Afrikan that is facing the exact same experience only in a different location! If we can please remember - Malcolm X's father was a preacher on behalf of the UNIA movement who was brutally killed for his beliefs! We talkin bout the time when MARCUS WAS ALIVE AND KICKIN! and look how much inspiration was found there.
I also want to say that we are ONE TRIBE in the process of FINDING OURSELF, as i am sure you are aware of this bredren. geographical stereotyps are progressing tthe works of Babylonian interests.
My dear Garveyite, i know the times are trying. but we must stand solid in the TRUTH.
I will breathe my last breath in the Motherland of Creation - it is my destiny.
True, WE the Great Blacks (especially from came from west Afrika to the western Hemishpere to enlighten and share with our fellow brown brothers and sisters a long time before even the arab slave trade(meaning our ancestors could have very well been on dat masterfully navigated boat together).... we must remember that we did this in the name of ONENESS- and let the TRUE spirit of what it means to be Jah Royalty guide our judgement!
And for the ones who do not feel no ties to the Motherland or their innate beauty: PRAY FOR THEM THAT THEY MAY KNOW THEIR TRUE EXPRESSION, THEY PROBABLY DON'T EVEN KNOW A LICK OF OURSTORY BEFORE THE MAAFA, OUR TRANSATLANTIC ENSLAVEMENT!
Bredren, i only write to clarify, forIver united in the name of Jah Majesty we shall fufill Umoja-
I think you find peps like that worldwide...money needs to start being put into africa but it is hard when peps are trying to live their lives and make their future comfortable etc but regardless it needs to start happening so that those that are worried about it can begin to feel safer i hope u get wat i mean...i think we need to all begin thinking sensibly about where our money goes we need to do business with our own...not in a racist way but in a sensible way because we are all out here earning and not enough is coming back to us...i think the carribean should try looking to do business with africa more instead of america and the uk...basically i think im trying to say that black people all over the world need to invest more in their own countries and in turn their own countries wherever they be need to look to africa first and africa in turn needs to look to them instead of france and germany this worldwide unity of the blackman will surely build up africa and make repatriation easier for all of us. All of us...1 luv...peace...unity
Black american's were never against Marcus Garvey. You have to be aware of the propaganda that babylon filters through their media. babylon also employed a few hand selected blacks to attack Garvey. Some black american wanted and deserved land in the americas for their own also. Who's hands built america? For the record, repatriation in my eyes is a political term that can be challenged on its merits. Why not just go home? There are slaves everywhere. Africa also. The slaves there dont see any farther then their masters want them to. And so it goes for the slaves in america, who happen to be the richest slaves in the world. Do you think they would give that up when all they see about Africa is sufferation? Heres a bit of advice: Dont point the finger and what others are doing. Look at thyself and ask are you leading by example. Things in this world are not so cut and dried. Sometimes things are twisted and wet. Observe this life with the third eye JAH gave you. It will guide you when the other 2 fail.
Bless all, Negus Amlak thank u for posting the early Repatriation pioneers, we can not forget Paul Cuffe who in the 1700s was a ship merchant and set sail for Sierre Leone several times to repatriate African American settlers.
I'm late to this posting. But I am an AA who repatriated to Afrika. This journey began for me several years ago, but I didn't have time to go and visit several times before settling. The first time I went to Africa, I knew that I could live there, I knew that it was possible and that anything I wanted was there, conveniences and non conveniences. Its been an enriching experience and i don't consider amerikkka necessrily my home anymore and have no desire to live and raise my family here. The future is in Afrika because the development is slower, and so people can attain a sense of development instead of the development over towering them. Its wonderful to see African people in their daily lives, most are not even aware of the struggle that Black Americans have made towards Afrika, and most are not even connected to the history of slavery, its not a relished idea. Rather day to day life, water, food, clothes shelter, education, transporation etc are the mainstays, culture and religion are strongly tied together. I live in the Gambia, the smallest country in Afrika on the west coast of the Atlantic Ocean, Kunta Kinte's story is derived from Gambia as well as stories from the transatlantice slave trade. But while I was living in Gambia, I saw very few if any black americans, i did see more black british, and overwhelmingly more whites, europeans enjoying, buying land, property, etc. not us and when I say us I mean Rasta oriented no color ting, but obviously whites come to Afrika big time. I went there bought land, and built a house, while it has not been easy, i still wouldn't change it, i love living in Afrika, despite is hardships. Its not a cut of the rug for everyone, everyone can't take such risks, even I still worry of the risks of moving my family to Afrika where things are not all up to "standard" as they are in amerikkka. But the reality is people everywhere are having rough times, and no matter what country you live in its rough everywhere. I saw many things that Rastafarians in particular could do in a place like Gambia that is welcoming of Rasta vibration, but because we are so fractured, i found very little or no support while being there. For those who do want to repatriate, I wanted to be a link, because many of us don't know people per say in Afrika to make such a move or even visit. So I pray this discussion continues.
i was born here in "amerikkka" turtle island wasataw nation first nation......yes repatriation is a must!!! however this entire planet is mine ours ini's bro and sis of mount zioni...no question then i say the whole world is afrika......we can never forget our struggles here in...the west....however this is not only who we r ........
REPATRIATION IS A MUST...We must REPATRIATE our minds, our true selves, the SUB-CONSCIENCE MIND...... Remember: THE EARTH IS THE LORDS'AND THE FULLNESS THERE OF............InI did not come here through no "SLAVE TRADE", We already where all around the earth. What happened was that the slave masters transfered InI & InI from country to country so that we cann't claim RIGHTS to OUR LAND IF WE ARE NOT NATIVE.... The plan was to Strip us of our LAND, RESOURCES, and even our IDENTITY...Amerikkkans may not Overs' Repatriation because their ancestors are from Amerikkka.........If you take every Righteous person pon earth all can't fit in Africa.......WE MUST GOVERN THE WHOLE EARTH , So that it can be Balanced . MaMa Earth is un balanced, being controlled by some FOOLS WHOM ARE JEALOUS OF THE DIVINE CHILDREN OF THE ALAMIGHTY CREATOR.........
RASTAFARI!!!!
Greetings and most humblest Love unto Ihi yahnh Ihi family
REPATRIATION IS A MUST!!!!!
Ihi say this with the sincerest apologies to any ihidrehn who feels that the land call Amerikkka is their home.
As an Empress, Ihi feel Ihi livity restricted in dis land them (Ihi mean those who are against repatriation) call "home". It is a racist society that fullfills only the needs and wants of Big Business and not the people, who suffer daily to survive. Yuh can try to convince Ihi otherwise, but Ihi see it, Ihi feel it, and Ihi experience it ihivuhrih day, seen? As an Empress, Ihi must make a way fuh the youths who are coming up in this individualistic society, who values the individual, not the group. Ihi wan no parts of this ideaology. Take Ihi yahnh Ihi home to Afrikah
Speaking of Afrikah, Afrikans there have a similar attitude toward black Americans, as the Ihizh have succumbed to here. Misinformation abounds; Afrikans feel we are disconnected from them, and Black Amerikkkans feel Afrikans are backwards. Ihi yahnh Ihi must ihinite fuh the sake of the race. Ihi see Afrikah in the future as a super power, one filled with good works of Afrikans, governed by Afrikans, and without influence of Western or European powers. And why should it not be? This is a land with resources that fed civilization, not a land whose very foundation was built pon the backs of slaves and blood of the resistance. This is not Ihi home.
Concerning slavery, yes Ihi, there was slavery in Afrika, and maybe continues today. What also continues is malnutrition, poor education, ignorance concerning admistration, and a desire to become "more western". This is what is told to Ihi yahnh Ihi Afrikan brothers and sisters; their way is obsolete, they must "catch up" with "civilization" in order to succeed on their terms. If yuh ask the Empress, Afrikah has succeeded because She still stands today, after birthing so many nations. She still rises.
So why should Ihi yahnh Ihi repatriate? What do Black Amerikkkans feel toward it? Most are so complacent in the denegration of Ihi yahnh Ihi race, that is obscene to want to live anywhere else. Because " we got it so good here". They are afraid of their blackness, and choose to hide it behind white ideals and society. Amerikkkans do not value Ihi yahnh Ihi race; if so, a Black president would not cause so much discussion. They do not value Ihi yahnh Ihi contributions; if so, then all of those Afrikans Bredrehnh Negus posted would be common knowledge among ghetto youths, like George Washington (because he is the 1, right?). They do not value our seed, because if they did they would stop trying to incarcerate Ihi yahnh Ihi LifeBringers.
Ihi must go home. While Ihi am here, Ihi will do all Ihi can fuh the brothers and sisters who have been left here and brainwashed into believing this is home. When JAH call Ihi tho, Empress is ready

unless i got the wrong overstanding of this, this is educated IGNORANCE at it's best! and to me that is the worst kind of ignorance because ones (especially youths) are more inclined to BELIEVE the words of the well educated.
" Amerikkkans do not value Ihi yahnh Ihi race; if so..." i guess it's easy to sit on your high horse and cast judgement on a people YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. or maybe you do since you put us all in one box, because you experience it everyday. because we are all the same right? may as well say we all look alike and are pre genetically disposed to liking chicken & watermelon. point ur little finger and laugh and cast your verbal stones & judgement all you want, but DON'T fix your lips to SPREAD this message, because it has absolutely NO merit. and contrary to what you believe, you are NOT QUALIFIED to speak for african americans as a whole. if we are so 'disconnected' then you should do your part to RECONNECT - not widen the gap with this folly.
WTF?!
(excuse my attitude. black on black crime really erks me)
Psalm 87 (New International Version)
Psalm 87
Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song.
1 He has set his foundation on the holy mountain;
2 the LORD loves the gates of Zion
