blessed love tuh all InI family more love and life everytime I have a question I have heard that Rasta not surpposed tuh have tattoos now I have 3 tattoos that I got b4 I started trodding RastafarI seriously but I wanted tuh kno y we aren't supposed tuh have dem in de fist place I think it's something about not cutting the flesh if anybody can give me a greater clearance on it den please do
I am Rasta and I am not against tatoos. Got ma first tatoo not so long ago and I am proud of it.
Some mean being against it is about leaving the body natural as it is. But then again, most people do cut their toenails..
Others mean it is about not cutting the flesh.. But lemme tell You, if I had to do an operation to survive, bloodtransfusion or a ceasar section to born a baby I would. Straight. (Jah forbid all that to happen to I and I loved ones. Selah)
I dont feel I tatoo like cutting the flesh, it is body art and mine is a tribiute to Jah. I dreamt it for so long, and it came in visions and it was like I was callen to mek it.. Like a sign in this time of I lifelong dedication to Jah -an outward sign and reminder of an inward reality- just like mi locks, seen? And sort of a rasta tribal scar, or a war painting. I an I is a frontline SoulJah!!!
But all have the right to their own feeling.
This is I tatoo, and the I can read about it at mi photos.. Bless Ups!!!
I want to make an attempt at this for the bredren. I'd first sight the I to Leviticus 19. The 28th chapter in Leviticus law notes the forbidding of cuttings of the flesh or prints on the body. As I intuit and now as I overs, I see that the marking of something already made to the liking of the Creator would be like disagreement or doubt of our natural status as our rightful status. I have two tattoos and although I obtained them earlier in life and they do hold meaning to me in terms of reverence and the search for the knowledge and true wisdom under the sight of the Most High, they show the irony of where I was in that search at the time. I also feel that the markings / tattoos also incorporate a level of vanity that is contrary to where InI want to trod. Let me know your thoughts.
I give thanks for the report, which present strong reasons for and against a believer having a tatoo.
I an I believe there is a individual calling as well as a general one, so it is up to the believer to feel it within the Heart of Heart to get one or not.. it may be wrong for some right for others.
How do the I feel about tattoos?
And lets say it is to be seen as a sin, just to think outside the box, why do humans choose to mark certain sins as bigger than others, like tatoo vs earpeircing (which most people have).
About makeup/fakeup I also ave some Q. I have seen pichas of Empress Menen wearing makeup, and where it looks like she putted products in her hair... still many Rastas say its wrong.
I normally dont wear make up, in mi picha here I wear a single lipstick no foundation creames, no eyemakeup, nuttin... coz dats not me -still I do not condemn it.
Still some sistas choose to jump mi for the lipstick I wear in dat picha.. Really that pic is no fake coz it shows mi how I look like and dat lipstick is straight on mi lips and doesnt deform dem, and the rest of mi is lef natural.. I am not against wearing makeup so this is not pointing fingers to no other Empress but many Rastawombmen here use makeup which mek them look natural still -no red red lipstick like the lowprize stuff I wear in tha pic lol, so maybe someone with an untrained eye will not notice and think its all natural beauty.. So noone will judge them even they paint all face, eyes and lips... so the judgemental one will not look at them but rather come judge me for the colour on my lips... To mi dats... weard..
Makeup also is from khemet-called cosmetics-cosmic ethics. As th wombman is the manifest of black momma space, she is adorned as the great mother is with stars and planets. each part of the face is a part of the universe and various colours, geometries represent specific frequencies! implement your intuitive knowledge princess!
its funny, I have been wondering about that too. I was reading the bible and the feta nagast and when they describe not having needle in your skin, whereing colourful garment or thesinging and instrument playing of the heathen it dawned on me that ancient Afrikans where ever we were did these things, i realized that these instructions were so the murderous "childeren of israel", would not be like us! In the lost books of the bible when Adam and Eve are in th cave of wonders(probably in the caucusus) they beheld people at the bottom in bright clothes with beutiful music-us! to justify our destruction they defame all we did, I my self removed all peircings when i began my trod, but theyre all back in and i might get a tat. look at the mask of tutankamen 2 big ear piercings, the first tat evidence is from khemet. scarification an ancient act is only practised in afrika, feel no ways and express that afrikan creativity!
Yea, I was comparing it like dat too, if Jah can call men to do dat, He can call I to do dis too.
Blessed Love!!!
About make up dere is natural alternatives that is better offcourse, I saw so many things in Morocco like wet this stone and use it for lipstick -real beautiful too. Or dry this claysoil for eyeshadow. Some soft barque is a toothbrush no need to even use toothpaste etc..
Greetings, Brethren. This what you said surprised me. "Remember these ppl were living in caves while AFRIKANS had MAJOR CITIES with PLUMBING and ELECTRICITY..."
