Love My Brother Mind!! I love your words here and feel the exact same! I don't limit myself with labels, titles, whateva......... I just feel like that's man's way to fit you into the little boxes in their head. I could call myself anything I want, it still doesn't change who I am or how I'm living!!!! I don't care what your name is or where you come from. What matters to me is how you are living and how do you treat your other Brothers & Sisters in this world ~ Bless ALL ~
I totally agree! I respect all people who strive to live right! I am aganist division and separation as well! I believe that the foundation of everything is Africa and I appreciate those that strive to embrace the traditions of our ancestors! Its truly peace!
InI wan fi know what yu mean by 'the foundation of everything is Africa'
InI true African-born and bred but still InI dont overstand the meaning of dat statement
I dont put a name on my life because it leads to confusion and limitations if others read your name or whatever.
All these questions bout if we are rastafari or christian or buddhist or whatever, I really dont care because once you reason up truly with an bredren or sistren you will connect ultimately with the divine being if thats your purpose or main goal (one perfect love).
This is just my opinion of these statements of being this or that while we all should just live and realise that our divine being (soul realisation) is our main goal in life and then we wouldnt care on how we should call ourselves and how they would call theirselves, its unnecessary in life to be called anything by an actual name.
If you are then living as a rasta its your own purpose te be healthy and fit by eating good food and trodding righteously in livity but to call a man just a rasta or whatever is even useless to me as i already said why..
Yes I
More love, concrete knowledge and straight guidance and protectance in this wonderfull trod in life what we may call rastafari.
Without all of the vague and scenic descriptions of who Ihi yahnh Ihi should be or not, human or being, Ihidrehnh or people, Ihi will answer the question at hand . . .
Ihi once heard Ihi think Maya Angelou say, someone once told her they were a Christian, and she RASponded, really, Ihi have been trying to be one my whole life . . .
Being as Ras is not a finite state, Ihi would say Ihi am the evolution of Ihi people's struggles;
A dahtah trying to live out her Faddah wishes;
A female trying to give birth to rijusness;
A Rastafari Empress
That being said, Ihi would also say that Ihi used to be a part of the organized Western train of thought that is Christianity. Ihi say Western because knowledge of the Most Ihi, His gift unto humanity, and His love mercy and judgement are known to those who have never heard of "Christianity". Mohandas Ghandi himself said he liked Christ but not his Christians' ways. Did Ghandi not see the pearly gates of a Western heaven?
So what are Christians who cite Rastafari?
Ihi am not touching that one
Iman trod the Incient order of NYAHBINGHI.
INI aim is the destruction of all spiritual wickedness and Down-pression...first.
Iman think "Christian" has certain connotations I choose to dis-associate myself from.
Within the truth of both expressions,however, there are some forms of commonality.
Iman read a speech from His Majesty showing INI that
Religion is rules and regulations used to aid mankind spiritually,
and that spirituality is the bond that links INI to the Most High and each other.
As Joseph Hill says "JAH alone a Christian." Most so called Christians do not live in the true Christian livity, but deal with wickedness. RasTafarI people are the True Christians.
As Haile Selassie I says
"When He sacrificed himself at Golgotha for the atonement of our sin, He prayed with His last breath for the forgiveness of those who had tortured Him saying, 'Father, forgive them for they know not what they do'. Shame on those of us who are Christians and do not follow the way of the Savior of the World, whose life was filled with kindness, humility, and martyrdom! If we lived by the laws he gave us and were worthy of being called Christian, peace would have reigned on this earth.
Men were supposed to be the equals of the living angels who unceasingly sang praises before the eternal God. Had this been so, peoples of the world would not have been divided along lines of enmity."
I agree with the brother's statement, 'Most so called Christians do not live in the true Christian livity, but deal with wickedness.' True Indeed! Christians tend to contradict themselves constantly. Again, I can respect those that are sincere in any religion and are striving to live righteously. I have found that the most church going folks have been the most judgemental folks, and do not even live by their own doctrine properly. So, I respect Rastafari because its more of a lifestyle than a religious tradition only followed once a week:)
