Why is it that Rastas respect the Love in them?
How do we understand the simplicity of that Love?
Why do we never give up on our chances of spreading that Love?
Where will this Love take us on the journey of life?
The answer is simple, Rastafari is LOVE.
We are all here to commemorate the struggles and achievements that has made Rastafari a force to be reckoned with. As Rastas, we all understand the rudiments of self-raspect, self-Love, and our pride in that Love. Love does not adhere to distinctions of skin colour; nor does it judge your beliefs. It is the source of everything positive and shuns everything negative. We brothers and sisters of Rastafari have learned to embrace that sacred code of Love. We have shown through example, that Love does conquer all. That the ignorant ones shall still be embraced with a Love that only makes them thirst for more. Yes we stand for peace and equality, but it is LOVE that gives us that fighting spirit.
It is so easy to become angered and push all reasoning aside because it is so easy to be human. Humanity does not always raspect the idea or notion of equality and love, nor does it appropriate these ideologies to the betterment of itself. So what now is Rasta's responsibility to humanity?
We are the vessels of God's eternal Love and all He asks is that we employ that Love in our own lives. This is the first step to fulfilling that responsibility. Liberate your emotions beyond the contempt we all share for the world that exists today. Do not deny your free spirit the sweet serenity of effortless love because of your rigid loyalty to the works of Rastafari. Rastafari is Love, know this.Rasta cannot function without Love, Rasta does not exist without Love, and if Rasta does not exist, how can Rasta better humanity?
Rastas must be willing to share that love, not just to fellow Rastafari, but to the lost sheep that walk among us. Iman see fully well my purpose as Rasta and will continue to walk in Love and peace and inity. I will not betray my fellow man because he has not fully understood Love for what it is. I will not disrespect his lack of interest in Love by turning my face in the opposite direction. I will only show him how easy it is to Love because It is all I can do as a Rasta.
'If you know not God you know not LOVE, for God is LOVE'.
