Greetings!

After much thoughts, the woj is now going adfree. In fact there used to be some ads for rastaroots.com plus some google ads on the site. InI thought that if the woj is to carry on with the works of Rastafari InI had to get rid of all advertisements to provide the I wit a friendly, adfree relaxing space of reasoning. No more ads are to be found nowhere on the woj!

The plans for the woj now (i know there seems to be new plans every week ! :) is to try to turn the woj into a public foundation. This means that the woj would serve as a fundraising platform so that the economic power of the Rastafari nation can be forwarded to various works. In fact there is now a donate feature which allow ones to donate easily (through paypal).

After 15 months of running the woj, InI spend $675 on hosting costs and an estimated additional $150 on scripts and feature improvements (around $825 total) . While InI dont mind giving to the Rastafari nation, the burden is heavy on I pocket as a youth struggling to pay for InI studies and living costs in this system. Lately InI had to cancel some of the features of the woj, such as the worldofjah.com address due to lack of funds (this is why now we can only access the woj through worldofjah.ning.com, which is not so convenient). Also havin little money leaves little room for improving the site with some new community enhancing features.

InI d like to call on the I for a helping hand with the hosting and functional costs. In fact giving $1 will go a long way towards helping InI keep this site alive, so that InI can offer a high level of responsiveness and helpfulness whenever the Is experience some issue with the site, or need some help with promoting products or social works.

$100 worth of donations will be used each month to forward to rastafari works worldwide. Of course If the fundraising effort is successful we could easily forward more money towards the works. InI have elders to care for, youths to support and sistrens in needs of InI help. We are so many on this platform that it wont require a lot from each of InI to raise money for those of us who are less fortunate. With almost 3000 members , if each gave $1 per month imagine what InI could achieve. InI would like to start small, sending donations for books or forwarding funds to organisations like the Word Sound Power Collective which supports elders in Jamaica or the Shashamane settlement, but the ultimate goal should be to organise repatriation. InI believe this is possible, let s make it happen!

Please consider donating as little as $1 to the woj. A financial report will be published monthly and we will set up a transparent system in place so that InI know where the funds are going. Idren pls keep in mind that the reciever (soundjata) will be charged a fee between 10 and 40 dollarcents per donation (depending on the country of payment) pls add those cents to the donation.

Give thanks my lord INI have been waiting to see this goes into effect. I will be sending in my donation soon, and hope other will do the same. The time has come for Rastafarian to put their resources where their mouth has been. There is too much work to be done. The foundation is set and the material is available we just need the workers to take on the responsibility. Give thanks to Jah who have inspire the man soundjata to do this righteous work. InI have no idea how ning works and if this is possible but making a part of the forum for paying (subscribed) members only would generate the funds to keep the site running and hopefully will end all the drama that goes on around here from time to time caus them that is serious nuff to pay will not use that forum for slander (e.g. 20 dollars a year or a lil less if payed for 2 yrs in advance). InI also would suggest finding out if closed mansions (not readable to public) are possible InI am sure that the Sisters of the SistrenZion mansion would be extremely glad if that would be possible and if there is a fee for that option we will talk amongst ourselves about how we will fund that. Other donations would than be free to use for rastafari works worldwide.

Uhmm yeah so InI know this was not put here for ones and ones to start throwing suggestions around ;) so give thanks fi taking this website to the next step and making it a proper foundation. InI will definately donate to keep this website up and running.

InI just used paypal, no cc needed and the bankcosts are only 35 eurocents (for the reciever) you can open an account with the I's emailadress and bankaccountnr. InI have no idea how much the costs for "old fashioned" banktransfers are in Sweden but in The Netherlands that costs 7,50 euro InI rather donate that money than pay it as a fee.

ga naar www.paypal.nl en maak een account aan met je emailadres en je bankrekeningnr dan krijg je van hun een paar cent toegestuurd en als opm bij de betaling een code. Die code voer je dan weer in op de site als verificatie dat het bankrekeningnr echt aan jou toebehoort. Je kunt dan simpel door het emailadres van de ontvanger in te voeren geld sturen (hun email is ook weer gekoppeld aan hun bankrekeningnr) het geld word dan automatisch na een dag of 2 van je bankrekening afgeschreven. Geen credit cards enz nodig.

Wow, I thought paypal was a way to go round dat fee of banktransfer abroad.. or western union robbery.. its to expensive far I since am quite broke, but still just wanna do wat ever I can do..especially since am obviously one of those really enjoying WOJ and spend nuff time here so.., but if the transfer fee is equal or more to the cash sent I rather pay for a stamp, put some more dollars inna envelope and send it dat way!!!

The I overstood InI wrong. The fees are for "old fashioned" banktransfers. Paypal does not charge the person sending money anything just the reciever pays, no more than $0,40 on every transfer.
