. LION OF JUDAH PURE LOVE FOR OUR MOTHER EMPRESS MENEN AND OUR FATHER HAILE SELASSIE I. MOTHER AND FATHER OF IRATION. HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY Emperor Haile Selassie I King of Kings Lord of Lords The Conguering Lion Of The Tribe OF Judah RASTA KNOW InI the Rasta know that His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I is the Messiah as prophesized in the bible. Rasta doesn’t believe, he knows. InI know that His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I is a direct descendent of David; 225th in line of Ethiopian kings stretching in unbroken succession from the time of King Solomon and Queen of Sheba. InI know he is the King of kings, Lord of lords, and the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah. InI know his name JAH RASTAFARI shall reign supreme forever. InI know he is the root of David. Rev. 5:2-5, And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book and loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, nor to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. Selah... A Prayer I PRAY TO THEE, ALMIGHTY GOD, JAH RASTAFARI, KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS, CONQUERING LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH. THAT THE WORDS OF MINE OWN MOUTH AS WELL THE MEDITATIONS OF MINE OWN HEART BE ACCEPTABLE IN THY SIGHT. THAT THOU GIVEST ME STRENGTH IN MY HOUR OF WEAKNESS, WISDOM IN MY HOUR OF FOOLISHNESS, PATIENCE IN MYHOUR OF VEX, UNDERSTANDING IN MY HOUR OF CONFUSION, GRACE AND FORGIVENESS IN MY HOUR OF JUDGEMENT. SELAH. Emblem of the Blood Gold And Green ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is written that the horizontal tricolour ( green over yellow over red), originally took the form of three pennants. After World War II the yellow stripe was charged with a crowned Lion, in natural cloours, supporting a cross-staff bearing a green yellow and red pennon, known as the "Lion Of Judah". It should be noted that the Lion is depicted walking away from the hoist. Among the reasons given for the adoption of the colours are: 1) They represent the tree parts of Ethiopia: Shoa (Green), Amhara(Yellow) and Tigra(Red). 2) The colours are those of the rainbow a frequent phenomenon in Ethiopia. 3) They represent the three christian virtues Hope (Green), Charity (Yellow) and Faith (Red).
Bob Marley and The Bible
Judge Not
Judge not, before you judge yourself; Judge not, if your not ready for judgement. The road of life is rocky and you may stumble, too; So while your talking about me Someone else is judging you.
Bob Marley * Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: And with what measure ye mete, It shall be measured to you again.
MATTHEW 7:1,2 * Stiff-Necked Fools
Destruction of the poor is in the poverty; Destruction of the soul is vanity. The rich man’s wealth is in the city; The righteous wealth is in his holy place.
Bob Marley * The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
PROVERBS 10:15 *
Stiff-necked fools, you think you are cool To deny me for simplicity; Yes, you are gone, for so long With your love of vanity.
Bob Marley * I said unto fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak Not with a stiff neck.
PSALM 75:4,5
* Bend Down Low
Bend down low, let me tell you what I know. Fishermen row, you’re going to reap what you sow.
Bob Marley * Even as I have seen, they will plow iniquity, and sow Wickedness, reap the same.
JOB 4:8 * Jump Nyahbinghi
It remind I of the days in Jericho When we trodden down Jericho walls; These are the days when we trodden to Babylon; Gonna trodden, too, until Babylon falls.
Bob Marley * So the people shouted when the priests blew with the Trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpets, and the people shouted with a great shout, That the wall fell down flat, So that the people went up into the city, Every man straight before him, and they took the city.
JOSHUA 6:20 *
Give Thanks And Praises
Give thanks and praises to the moon and sky; Give thanks and praises so high.
Bob Marley *
The day is thine, the night also is thine: Thou has prepared the light and the sun.
PSALMS 74:16 *
Noah had three sons: Ham , Shem , and Japheth; And in Ham is known the prophet.
Bob Marley *
And sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, Were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: And Ham is the father of Canaan. These are the three sons of Noah: And of them was the whole earth overspread.
GENESIS 9:18,19 *
Rastaman Live Up
David slew Goliath with a sling and a stone: Samson slew the Philistines with a donkey jawbone.
Bob Marley *
So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling And a stone, and smote the Philistine, And slew him; But there was no sword in the hand of David.
I SAMUEL 17:50 *
And he found a new jawbone of an ass, And put forth his hand, and took it, And slew a thousand men therewith.
JUDGES 15:15 *
Who The Cap Fit
Some will eat and drink with you, Then behind and suss upon you.
Bob Marley *
He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, The same shall betray me.
MATTHEW 26:23 *
We And Them
But in the beginning Jah created everything: He gave man dominion over all thing. But now it is too late, you see, Men have lost there faith, Eating a pound of flesh from all the earth.
Bob Marley *
And God said, Let us make man in our own image, After our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, And over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,…. And over every creeping thing that greepeth on the earth.
GENESIS 2:26 *
Forever Loving Jah
Just like a tree planted by the rivers of water That bringeth forth fruit in due season; Every thing in life has its purpose, Find its reason, in every season.
Bob Marley *
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
PSALM 1:3 *
Zion Train
Don’t gain the world and lose your soul; Wisdom is worth more than silver and gold.
Bob Marley *
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better Than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof Than fine gold.
teachings which are important to meditate upon. Concerning his words to remember and follow the Ten Commandments given to Moses (Exodus 20).
1) "I am the Lord (Egziabher: the Lord of the whole earth), Thy God (Amlak)". As the ancient Ethiopic word Amlak indicates the One True God of Israel, it is however a plural form from a strictly grammatical point of view. This has a strong parallel with the Hebrew Biblical Name Elohim, similarly signifying the One True God through a plural form indicated by the inflectionism. These astonishing connections can be seen as mystical prefigurations of the Triune being of GOD, finally revealed through the New Covenant in Krestos. The One God Ab-Wold-Menfis (Father-Son-Spirit) must rule our existence in every time and place of our life.
2) "You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol". We must not worship idols and vanities of this world. In our existences, we must not confer a pillar role to transitory entites and values, since only God has the full meaning and right centre of our lives. Remember He is the Absolute One and therefore He cannot share His power with others, as told by Igzi'ne Iyasus Krestos in Matthew 6, 24: "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and hate the other. You cannot serve both God and Money".
3) "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name". Also meaning: when a faithful bears His rightful Name, He must remember that by his own conduct he will bring honour or shame upon the same Name in the eyes of the world and the Gentiles. Therefore we must live in righteousness to uplift the Holy Name we bear and to avoid that the Name of God may be cursed by pagans. If our example of life is a righteous one, we shall persuade the world of the goodness of the Name we serve. In this way we shall bring nearer the day when "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess". As indicated by the King of Kings Qadamawi Haile Selassie: "If we lived by the laws He (the Lord) gave us and were worthy of being called Christians, peace would have reigned on this earth". Moreover, this precept commands us not to invoke the divinity while committing sin or carnal superfical acts or for mere material accumulation. He should be instead invoked only for the sake of spiritual holiness.
4) Remember the Sabbath Day by keeping it holy (Sabbath + Sunday). It is strongly indicated by the Apostles and defended in Ethiopian Orthodox tradition that the Sabbath and Sunday must be considered as one unique day of the Lord. The Hebrew Sabbath is the day when the Lord Himself rested from creation. The Christian Sunday is the day when Igzi'ne Iyasus Krestos was raised from the dead thus announcing the consistency of our hope in the resurrection of the body. These two days must be dedicated to the worship of God. Even if the observance of precepts is proper, worshipping must however be firstly on a higher level and not according to the ways of certain hypocritical Pharisees such as the ones criticized by the Lord in the Gospel.
5) "Honor your father and mother, so that they may live long in the land of the LORD your God is giving you". As obedience is a fundamental prerogative ones must learn to observe, in a similar way respect for our own parents is an essential condition for our ability to be conscious educators of our own sons and daughters. It is also for this reason the Torah says that respect for this commandment will assure us of a long and happy life, as it is known for anyone a righteous offspring will be a honourable memory of his name. The destiny of the righteous, according to Psalms 128, 3 is that "Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table".
6) "You Shall not murder". This means to not attempt to destroy human life in any form (from an embryonic to a mature one) or by any means, including military aggression as today acted by Western powers (modern day Babylon - Roman Empire indicated in the Bible as the rule of the Anti-Christ). The understanding of the sanctity of the life itself should encourge ones to avoid also lighter forms of enmity and moral killing such as disrespect and offences.
7) "You shall not commit adultry". This implies highest respect for matrimonial union, its indissolubility and its monogamus intimacy. As indicated by the Letter to the Hebrews 13, 4: Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Those who denounce of the holiness of matrimony are sinners, as indicated by Qeddus Pawlos. Therefore, it is impious to practice sexual union in a way contrary to natural law. Sexual union must instead be governed by loving sharing and generally aimed at procreation as a fulfilment of God's commandment to Adam and Eve.
8) "You shall not steal". We should not abuse even our brother's possessions if given for our benefit.
9) "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor". We must also abstain from false preachings and teachings.
10) "You shall not covet your neighbours house. You shall not covet your neighbours wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox of donkey, or anything that belongs to you neighbor". We shall not desire the spiritual, affective or material possession of our neighbours, shunning envy by every means.

Revelations & The Twelve Tribes
Revelation 7 1And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. 9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 8 1And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. 6And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. 7The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 8And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. 10And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. 12And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. 13And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Leviticus 23
1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. 3Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. 4These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. 5In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover. 6And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 8But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 9And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. 13And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. 14And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 15And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. 17Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD. 18And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD. 19Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 22And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God. 23And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 26And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 28And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. 30And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. 31Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath. 33And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 34Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. 35On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 36Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. 37These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: 38Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD. 39Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. 40And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. 41And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: 43That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. 44And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD

Revelation 18
1And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 9And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. 11And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 12The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, 13And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. 14And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. 15The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! 17For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! 19And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. 20Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. 21And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. 22And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; 23And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

CHAPTER XI ADVICE AND PRECEPTS FOR THE LAYMEN AND FOR THE COMMUNITY OF THE FAITHFUL.
Part II. This part is in three subdivisions.
The first deals with what parents must do for their children and what children must do for their blood parents.
Teach your children, O parents, the word of God and raise them well disciplined and knowing God. Teach the trades which are useful to them, lest they be occupied with idle things and contemplate leaving their parents and educators (without any help). If parents neglect them and discipline them not, and then children therefore remain idle, the latter will be hardhearted and unwilling to do good. You must not, therefore, fear to scold or discipline them, putting fear in them, because if you discipline you will not kill them; rather, you will give them life, as the following words of Solomon uttered in his Wisdom show: “Reproach thy son so that he may refresh thee and may be of use to thee, for he is thy hope (prov.29,17.) and if thou beatest him with a rod, thou will deliver his soul from death.”(prov.23,14.) Teach your children the words of God and prevent them [from doing evil] with strokes, to make them obey you, starting from there childhood. Teach them all the Divine Books and do not leave them in idleness, lest they prevail over you and disobey your commands. Do not allow them to drink [wine] with there companions, because they will turn to evil deeds. If they sin because of the negligence of their parents, not only they but also their parents shall be punished. Therefore, you must discipline them, and when they are ready for marriage, marry them to women. A Paul said: “ The children ought not to amass treasures for their parents, but the parents for the children.” (II Cor. 12, 14.)
Children, obey your parents as you obey the Lord, for this is just. The first commandment has said: “Honor thy father and thy mother, that it may be well with thee and thou mayest be long-lived upon earth.” And you, parents, provoke not your children to anger but bring them up to be well disciplined and to know the teachings of Our Lord. (Eph.6,1-4.)
Obey your parents, O children, in all things, for this is pleasing to the Lord. Parents, provoke not your children to indignation lest they be sorrowful. (Col. 3, 20-21.) Teach your children to pray the prayer of the [canonical] hours in purity. Honor your blood father and mother, for they are the cause of your birth.
The second subdivision deals with the love of husbands for their wives and the obedience wives owe to their husbands.
Paul said in his letter to the Ephesians, “ Let women be subject to their husbands as to the Lord, because the husband is the head of the wife, and husbands must love their wives as they do their own bodies. Let everyone of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife love and fear her husband.”(Eph. 5, 22-23.) In his first letter, Peter said: “And so also you women be subject to your husbands, so that those who do not obey the word may be won without the word by the good manner of you, O wives, when they consider the purity of your heart and your turning to penance and justice. And you shall adorn yourselves thus: not with ephemeral ornaments or with plaiting of the hair or with wings of gold or with the putting on of fine dresses, but with the ornaments of man which are hidden, the true ornament which is found in a humble heart, an ornament that becomes not old, the ornament that is found in a peaceful mind, an ornament that is God forever. The ancient holy women who trusted in God were so, and their ornament was to be in subjection to their own husbands. As Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him ‘my lord’, so you, her daughters is doing good deeds, be not frightened anything which causes fear. And you men, likewise dwell with them according to knowledge and purity; keep them as weak vessels and respect them, for they inherit with you life everlasting.” (I Pet. 3, 1)
At the beginning of the Didascalia Peter said: “O men, servants of God, every man among you shall bear the weight of his woman. He must not be haughty, nor deceitful, but shall be merciful and upright, one who hastens to do that which pleases his wife. He shall not adorn himself to make another woman desire him, lest she sin by looking at him.” Fear, O woman, your husband, and be respectful towards him; do, next to the Lord, only his pleasure; be vigilant to give him rest and serve him. A wise woman does every good thing for her husband; she supervises the work of her servants and uses her hands for useful things. Her fingers are strong enough to weave clothing for the poor and to make two dresses, one for herself and the other for her husband. When she walks through the streets, she veils her head with her cope; she veils herself with purity to defend herself from the looks of wicked men. She adorns neither her head nor her face, for there is nothing which renders her ugly and makes adornment necessary. Let her droop her head and look to the ground, and let her always remain veiled. A free woman ( “a woman who is not enslaved by the devil.”) shall not leave her hair unveiled in the house of the Lord; she shall not give her children to wet-nurses, nor shall she be slothful in administering her house nor disobedient to her husband.
“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads…… and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand and three-score days……” Revelation 12 v 1-6
THE ITALIANS/AMORITES HAD FIRST TRIED TO INVADE AND DEFEAT ETHIOPIA AT THE BATTLE OF ADOWA IN 1896. Even though this invasion was for political and economic wealth, and the expansion of Italy’s empire, the real real/hidden reason was to kill the Christ-Child Tafari Makonnen born 1892, who was to rule the nations with a rod of iron- the Golden Scepter…….. The dragon had tried to kill His Mother Yeshimabeit several times on a Metaphysical level (None of her previous 8 children had survived), but had failed. A place was provided for Her for two years. Thus, it was reported that Tafari’s Mother died when He was aged two. But the Christ-Child Tafari was caught up to God, and to His Throne. After failing to kill the Christ-Child on a cosmic level the Dragon/Pope then tried to do so on the physical level (which is similar to Herod killing the babes during Christ’s First Advent), but the Church & State of Rome was defeated at the battle of Adowa.
“…..behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.” Rome knew the Christ-Child was to be born in Ethiopia, for their astronomers and soothsayers saw that the Star of David was once again over the Holy Land of Ethiopia. After Tafari’s birth the Pope was also informed be reports coming out of Ethiopia that the Christ-Child lives. Consequently, Italy invaded Ethiopia to come up and kill the Christ-Child Tafari but met a terrible defeat at the battle of Adowa. However, when Tafari grew in wise mind, Might and Knowledge to sit upon the throne of David as Haile Selassie I, Goliath/Mussolini invaded Ethiopia defying the Living I, JAH Ras Tafari. To wit, David/Selassie I slew/defeated Goliath/Mussolini and Pope Pius. For it was after David was anointed that He slew Goliath in battle, and it was after His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I was anointed at His Coronation in 1930 that He defeated Mussolini……
For Unto Us A Child Is Born
It was among the people at Ejarsa Gora that Lij Tafari Makonnen, later to become Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, was born on July 23 1892. In May each year, the boy’s father, Ras Makonnen, Governor of Harar, took his family and retainers to Ejarsa Gora to escape the stuffiness, the typhoid and other diseases which stalked the streets of the walled city of Harar at this time of year. Here on a green hillside that looked down on the fertile valleys, he had built a large mud and wattle house with a refinement that was unusual in Ethiopia at the time - it had a large verandah in front where he could receive the chief’s who came to pay him tribute, listen to grievances and settle quarrels, and in the cool evening, drink his tej (an Ethiopian mead) with his confidantes and watch the lammergeyer and ravens wheeling in the sky. In 1892 he came early because his wife, Wayzero Yeshimabet, was with child and he hoped that the fresh breezes and clear air would help her pregnancy to go well. She was the wrong mould for shaping children, and eight of her offspring were stillborn or had died from the diseases lurking in Harar for susceptible infants. So this time she and her baby must be given every chance. For Ras Makonnen wanted a son. It was true that he already had other children, by consorts or concubines or slaves. He even had a natural son named Yilma, of whom he was fond….. But it was not enough. If the Emperor Menelik, who had no son of his own (and who trusted Ras Makonnen as no one else) did as some wiseacres at Court forecasted and passed his Imperial crown to him when he died, Makonnen wanted a legitimate son to inherit it from him. So Wayzero Yeshimabeit was cosseted at Ejarsa Gora until her time came, and that was not until the first heavy rains had broken over the valleys. As the midwife dragged him clear, Tafari’s first yelps were drowned by a spectacular cannonading of thunder and a torrential downpour; a good enough omen, in a land where rain is always welcome, for the women to raise their voices in praise as the babe’s lips were moistened with ritual butter, for all the rifles in the village to let go a ragged fusillade, for the cattle to be killed and tej and talla to be made ready, and for the feasting to begin……. A month later Lij Tafari and his mother were taken back to Harar to prepare for the boy’s baptism into the Coptic Church…….. Excerpt from “Haile Selassie “ by Leonard Mosely
