Ineho: key'ihuda neged'i yehonew'i an'ibela, yedaweet'i s'ir'i d'il'i nes'itoal'i, 'ir'isu mets'ihafun'i leekef'it'ina sebatun'im'i makha temoch'i seefeta y'ich'ilal'i

I am only beginning my journey towards mastery of the beautiful Amharic language, and the method I am using is to transliterate the Amharic book of Revelation. This is my attempt at transliterating Revelation 5:5 "behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereon." Is this accurate? Many thanks and blessings!

Selamte yene ihit

I have a question that I have been meaning to ask: How are the click sounds of the Nguni family of Bantu languages represented in Fidel?

In Zimbabwe, the Nguni language that is widely spoken is SiNdebele, which is related to isiZulu. I have found that Ethiopians find it easier to learn SiNdebele than ChiShona, and can make the click sounds just like a native speaker. Using the Western orthography, the click sounds are written as q (you would have to hear this) and nc (which sounds like nn + a click of the tongue) and x. Miriam Makeba, the great African songstress (she sang at the O.A.U. summit in 1963) offers a little lesson to explain the song Qongqothwane in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Mwh9z58iAU
