There is a chance that we can end the genocide in Darfur by getting a peace keeping force on the the ground. The United Nation has been dealing with this issue for ever and they are in the process to deploy. But, there is a problem, no one wants to pay for it. Right now Congress is going to vote to decide whether to approve funding for a U.N. African Mission in Darfur.

The Genocide Intervention Network has set up a toll free number 800-436-6243 or 1-800-Genocide. It automatically routes to your Member Of Congress. If you don't know who your member of congress is you can look it up based on your zip code at House.Gov or
you can just say: My name is ______________ I am a constituent in City and State and I was calling to urge Congressman ____________ to fully fund the U.N. Mission in Darfur by providing the full 720 million that the president promised.

Everyone's voice can make a difference especially when funding is coming up as a vote to end the genocide.
