Neem leaf (Azadirachta indica) is a tree in the mahogany family Meliaceae. It is native toIndia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Pakistan. It grows in tropical and semi-tropical regions.In the Nigerian language it is called Dogon Yaro.In east Africa it is known as Muarubani in Swahili. which means the tree of the 40. It is know to treat 40 different diseases.Neem is good for acne when used in a paste.It is used as a antibacterial,antiviral, antifungal.it is perscribed for skin disease it helps keep the skins elasticity.It can also be used as a mosquito repellent Neem is good for people with diabetes to drink or cook with.Chewing on neem twigs cleans the teeth real well.Neem leaf is a herb that has so many uses beneficial to us instead of always turning to traditional medicine.

yes I-Sis high time to highlight the many many positive aspects of this precious plant. when i was living in senegal, i used to drink it as a tea once a week as a natural malaria prevention. never got sick... also sprayed my place with it & it sure kept away the mosquitos.
Sis Chi, where you staying? in austria i used to find the leaves in an indian food store, in senegal there are trees everywhere. unfortunatly many people don't use it anymore, but prefer to take the pills when they catch malaria... babylon has done much confusion & destruction... high time to rise as RastafarI family and speak of all the remedies Jah provides for the children...

I was looking for this herb but ini health food store does not have. Is there anywhere ones know of that I can buy this herb? I live in Florida will be traveling to Jamaica soon.

Blessed Love in the House of His Majesty
I sell Neem oil, that can be used topically on the skin, in pastes and for spraying as many ihidrehnh suggested. This Neem oil is wonderful on the skin; I use it when I get an abrasion or cut, and it works so well the next day the cut or abrasion is healed!
As far as the leaves, this is a new use for the I, so I would be interested in finding a source for the leaves. If any I wants more info on the Neem oil (100% Neem Oil, no additives whatsoever) just contact I. Until then, I too will be looking for that resource for the leaves
