Yes mi brethren I just been checking out your profile and I see that you describe yourself as a locks man pastor and a minister. Are you speaking in a churchical sense? Meaning, do you have a congregation that you are responsible for? I am hoping that it would not be too much to ask for enlightenment and clarification, for this is something that really interest and intrigues me.
You also state that you used to be a Rastafari until 1991, what was it that made you turn from the worship of HIM Haile Selassie unto the worship of our only God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Also what was it that people said that made you trim off your lock in the first place and what has come to pass, that has made you grow them again?
I see that you are with your Queen. Is it safe and fare to assume that you are a married man?
I have only recently started listening to Christian reggae music and I am liking very much the works of the band Christafari. Are you able to point me in the direction any other Christian reggae acts that might interest me?
Finally, I have found even more reason to feel connected with you (whether rightly or wrongly) as you share a birthday with my first daughter and oldest child although she was born in 1980. Recently she gave birth to my second grand child, a daughter this time by the name of Jahnyah. Her first child and my first grandchild, named Elijah is now 2yrs old.
Oh, by the way, I too have done a little singing and DJing in the past and I am sure we will be able to compare note in this area sometime in the future.
Well I’ve said far more than I had planned to but that is something that happens to me all too regularly.
Peace and love until such times as when we shall reason again.
Yes my brother, thank you for your response to my last post, it has been very interesting to see how your faith impacts you. I will at the same time say, in certain respects, I differ from you in some points of outlook but I see the difference to be of a minor nature, and certainly not a matter of doctrine.
For instance, when our Lord came and fulfilled the law, he was in effect freeing us from the law of sin and death. He gave himself to be a lamb to the slaughter. Without spot or blemish on the day of his crucifixion. By this act of ultimate love, he was paying for us, the wages of sin, on the behalf of each and every one of us. Subsequently and in fulfillment, we are instructed to walk after the spirit and not after the flesh, in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. I believe this is clearly illustrated when we read through Rom 7-8, and also in Gal 2:16-21.
I accept the element of personal or voluntary forms of submission displayed by followers of God but we must remember that the only way to God is through Christ Jesus. In Christ is the fulfillment of the whole law of God. Therefore I would urge you to study and consider all that is involved when a man or a woman separates themselves to vow a vow of a nazarite. I make reference to the law of the nazarite as it is presented in Num 6:1-21.
In all honesty I focus on this point because I am sure that you will agree with me, in saying that it is neither possible nor necessary to complete the whole law of the nazarite, for Christ is the mediator of a better covenant. I believe this view is supported and clarified in the reading of Heb 8.
I eagerly await your observations and response to this post, may our love and understanding for our Lord almighty increase without ceasing.
May God’s blessings and goodwill be with you and yours, my brother, in eternally.
Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you . 1st peter 5:7
