The Hindu caste system is based on the shade of skin you are in. You might say, what do those "indian hindu" people have to do with me as an african/black person? well when i was in school we were taught about the caste system, and only 3 levels were presented... the blackest 2 levels were not even mentioned what so ever... Those lowest levels of people come originally from Ethiopia 5000 years ago, and had migrated to those lands currently called india. Even outside of their own native country, they are being persecuted harder and worse than, i feel, ANY ethnic group today or in the past... They have been facing this discrimination based on skin tone/ caste for thousands of years and not much has changed...

The Caste System began in India after the Aryans (WHITES) invaded and established their own rules for governing the society. The Aryans prohibited marriages between their own people and people of the cultures they conquered. Four classes of people emerged in India. Really there are 5 groups, however the untouchables are considered so low that they aren’t even counted. Each caste had its own specific place in society. They socialized, ate, married, worked, and worshipped within their own caste. They would never consider marrying or working outside their caste.

The castes:

Upper Class

BRAHMAN: Included priests and scholars (teachers, intellectuals, etc.)

KSHATRIYAS: Included rulers (government) and warriors (military)

Middle Class

VAISYAS: Included merchants, traders, and farmers (higher level workers)

Lower Class

SUDRAS: Peasants bound to the land (work for the farmers, artisans)

HARIJAN: untouchables (the lowest of the low) ===> some of the true Ethiopians living in that part of the earth... also knows as the Dalits (doo-leets)

Although the caste system was abolished by law in 1949, it remains a significant force throughout India, particularly in the south (especially in the countryside). Humans are perceived as being trapped in samsara, a meaningless cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth (reincarnation). Karma is the sum of ones good and bad deeds and this determines how you will live your next life. Through pure acts, thoughts and devotion, one can be reborn at a higher level caste. Bad deeds can cause a person to be reborn as a lower level, or even as an animal or an insect. The unequal distribution of wealth, prestige, suffering are thus seen as natural consequences for ones previous acts, both in this life and in previous lives. (they can’t complain about the system because they are responsible for where they ended up)

PLEASE check this link from another post that goes further in depth of "the untouchables" history and achievements and sufferings... please take heed. this is a much hidden truth/history of our black peoples that gets no attention/recognition. everyone knows about the US/Caribbean slave trade and how horrible and detestable IT was, everyone knows of the apartheid issues in S.Africa and other places, general race issues and colonization of African countries and peoples, even the current race issues within these so called "civilized & developed" countries that ini live in... Some may know about the troubles of the indigenous Aborigines of Australia... but please take some time to educated and learn about the Untouchables... when i first saw the title of "the untouchables", i thought it was that they were so elite that they could not BE touched... but the complete opposite i found to be the case...

for example, even today:

-if the shadow of an untouchable crosses your path/falls on you, then you are considered UNCLEAN and have to go thru nuff cleansing rituals to free you of your unclean state.

-the untouchables have to find their clothes from the bodies of corpses -their work is menial: street sweepers, graveyard attendees...

-they cannot buy food in the market like lighter skinned peoples...

-a "spit/dribble cup" is attached to them below their lip, so even the moisture from their mouths does not accidentally fall on someone/ in someones path...

-worse treatment than a leper would recieve... and nothing is physically wrong with them... apart from their "skin tone".

-they are treated as less than human

how can you say NO to a face like this?

Sorry if this sounds like an info-mercial... but this needs to be recognized by all Black people around the Globe... no doubt. Just another example of white supremacy being FORCED upon Blacks, and this is ANCIENT ARYAN/WHITE Supremacy that hasn't ended or lessened against our fellow brothers and sisters. From the beginning of time it seems have the white and light raped, pillaged, plundered those who did not share the same background/skin tone... (yes other whites/lights have been thru trials and tribulations from other aryan based groups in their histories) yet i wanted to bring out the sufferation of these untouchable people, in particular, within this post.
