I am a teenager who was associated with the wrong environment.I had chemicals in my hair,weave, short skirts and many more unsuitable attire. I was obsessed with vanity,money and material pocessions, I was far from reality.
Then last year summer while walking with a friend I was approached by a boy,he began to talk, i heard him mention that he was a rasta but i ignored him and continued to walk;further on that week by chance I saw him again and due to a continuous asking of my number I just gave it to him. Then Instantly we began to talk, he spoke to me of his livity and the rasta way of life at first i did not feel what he was saying, I thought he was too talkative and began to ignore him, it was only until our first link up, I realised and listened clearly and felt deeply what he said and from then I gained a more happy and stress free life. I done the big chop (this is done when a product called perm or relaxer is used in your head for many years) and my hair began to grow out naturally, I rejected all forms of European beauty (which is advertised in every UK magazine), rejected the fact that having light-skin and "good hair" is beautiful, I gained backed my confidence and began to love myself as an African, I read many books especially the teachings of Marcus Garvey, I believed in the crowning of the Negus and I read my bible that fitted the prophercy. I had now become a vegetarian(vegan) and ate only I-tal, I humbled myself and dressed in longer skirts and loser fitting clothes and I could never be happier....RASTAFARI IS FUTURE
