Natural Fyah, a fresh young empress, has burst onto the roots reggae scene. With a longing to sing from the tender age of 5, Natural Fyah began a journey into the art of music & expression through song.
As a Native of Toronto, and a child of Jamaican immigrants , Natural Fyah was exposed to many different kinds of music and took a liking to dance hits, dancehall, and club tunes in her early years. During her teens, she attended a school of the arts which focused her on classical repertoire, she sang solos and was also a part of a choir at a non-denominational church and entered talent shows to show the world the gift that she had to offer. These experiences all helped Natural Fyah to develop her ability to harmonize and improvise during performances to get a different sound every time.As her experience grew, so did her taste in music, as it evolved from dance, to R&B, and Gospel. She also looked up to artists such as Lauryn Hill who shared that same rich alto voice that she possessed.
A couple years later through a friend of a friend, Natural Fyah met a few children of JAH and was exposed to roots reggae. She fell in love with the baseline, the drums and everything that accompanied the genre. Not only did she fall in love with the music, but she also fell in love with the part of her culture that she had never been introduced to and at that point she began her relationship with JAH. “This new beginning and new relationship makes me feel like I am finally home. It feels like I was always suppose to be here and JAH was always waiting for me.”
Now, at the age of 21, Natural Fyah truly knows what her calling is. Her mission is to continue to help spread the word about JAH’s good works, family, love and peace. She hopes to make a difference through her art form and also hopes to leave a lasting impression on all listeners. She currently has linked with Selector Lionheart (More Fyah Soundsystem) & Internatial recoding star Dylan Murray. This link promises to bring to the world the voice of a fiery young artist with a message of PEACE, LOVE & ETERNAL BROTHERHOOD.
