Jah is my God, and my strength. I know that without HIM, we are nothing. I strive every day to become a better, more balanced person, who can treat all with love and equinimity, just as our Creator does. I know that there needs to be a balance of light and dark in the world, passive and aggressive, masculine and feminine, but to be balanced, it is required that those energies be channeled into the right situations. One should be aggressive in protecting the weak and helpless, and in fighting any and all injustice, and one should be passive in terms of worrying about the future, and to the unfolding Divine plan that we are all part of.

"Heaven is always, the earth, too. How can it be? Well, they do not live only for themselves; That is why they live long. So the wise man puts himself last, and finds himself in the foremost place, Puts himself in the background; yet ever comes to the fore. He keeps well fit; looks on his body almost as accidental, outer, something to be well taken care of; Still, a body is always there, and always remains. He remains in the open by it, too. He hardly strives for great personal ends; His main ends get fulfilled."-Dao de Ching, chapter 7

I am a vegetarian. I don't believe that it is a lifestyle choice, I believe that a meatless diet is essential to the proper functioning of the human body. Anything else is simply self-abuse. Why would you put the body that Jah gave you through that? Not even to mention the enslavement and genocide of countless cows, pigs, sheep and poultry birds, whose numbers rise every year. It says in Genesis that we are to be stewards of the Earth, and we're killing her!

I believe that the human being is capable of amazing things, if properly trained. I believe that people can access and influence forces that our empirical, scientific instruments are only beginning to discern. Call it magic, call it the Force, call it what you will, it's real, and we are a species placed in a very fortunate position as to learn about it.

I want to learn to use these forces to the best of my ability, to help create a positive change in the world. I want to be able to help people, body, mind, and soul. For all three components are essential to a healthy human being.
