I ave sometimes ovaheard some (especially wombmen) being all annoyed wid the Hola Trinity concept as “the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”.
Male names for Jah such as the Father anologies, tend to stress the similarities between Jah and human beings, whiles amidst these similarities, there are significant dissimilarities between Jah and humans –for example in the realm of gender.
The Father anologies, together with the maleness of Christ has sometimes been used as the theological foundation for the belief that only the male human may adequately image God, and it has also been used as a bad excuse to place up the maleness of humanity as normative. This whiles the maleness of Christ is a contingent aspect of His identity (yea coz I an I all kno Christ neva made any big deal outta bein male, rather the opposit, chillin wid anyone seing everybodys worth!). Christ’s maleness is no essential aspect of His identity and cannot be allowed to be a basis of the domination of females by males, any more than the person of Christ legitimates dominans of gentiles by Jews, or plumbers by carpenters!!!
So dont get mad gyaals, it all comes down to the nature of Sin.
According to the same male oriented christian tradition some of the most common notions of sin is pride, ambition and excessive self-asteem. Yes, and these sins are in fact fundamentally male in orientation and does not correspond to the experience of women. Women tend to experience sin in lack of pride, lack of ambition and lack of self-asteem!!!
So go figure. Know Jah and know thyself, dats all, and the rest will just fall into place.
Blessings
